I had read on here about using washable glue sticks for holding something in place when you were appliqueing---well I bought some cheap ones at the Dollar Tree (3 for a $1) and tried them out Saturday-----
I applied the glue on the dresden circle and then ironed over it---OMG! it is the best thing I have tried yet as I am kninda new to quilting----has never moved or slipped and got alot done this weekend---
Thanks for the advice!!!

These were to Rosetta Art work glue sticks-----
I found this quilt top in a box in a barn---I did everything I could think of to get the mildew and water stains out---thank goodness because of the way it was folded none of the dresden plates got stains on them---so I undid the stitching on them and am putting it back by hand just the way the lady did it to start with----by estimates this quilt is about 50 years old to 75 years old and made from feed sacks--
