Well, I haven't done the stitching with permanent markers yet, but ----- I have been known to redo blocks so my points are perfect.

I thought that was one of the rules...get that pink marker out and go to work....sounds good to me and...really...I thought that is what you were supposed to do!

I think it's a great idea! That is a trick I learned from a seasoned quilter! : ) You do what you have to sometimes . If you don't, takes all the fun right out of having fun sewing! I say GO FOR IT!!!!

During our local Shop Hop, my 83-year old Mom was talking with a shop owner about how she loves to SID. I chimed in that I don't because I'm always tempted to take out the stitching if it gets out of the ditch. The shop owner told us she purposefully sews about 1/8" away from the "ditch" to avoid looking like she was having problems. I love the "painting" of threads idea.

I do THAT all the time....mismatched corners cannot be hidden with a magic marker!

I love easy fixes. Wish I had done that sometimes and may go back and fix a few.

Think about the time it takes to make a little sample, try out the markers, heat set them, wash and dry them.......you'd have all those less than perfect areas resewn before you did all that!!!! C9P
