Gigi that is hysterical! I was LOL and am still chuckling over the fact that you call them cows. So funny!
I am just a fabric rancher in my dreams.

Oh my yes. I have pcs. I've had for yrs. because I just can't bring myself to cut into them. I know it's silly but I keep looking for just the right project, too.

Hi Murphy!
Could you explain more about what Focus Pocus and BQ are? I tried a web search but there are a lto of things named Focus Pocus. Thanks!

BQ Pattern is by Maple Island. In the pattern you will find instructions for both block sizes. It is is an excellent pattern for showcasing large scale prints. It appears as though it is a 3D block, and it it's relatively easy to make. I''ve made two of these quilts. My advise is to make sure they are cut precisely, otherwise you'll not have good looking blocks to showcase your focus fabric. In your search engine type MapleIslandQuilts.com and that should take you to their web site. If you decide on that pattern and have a problem feel free to PM me and I'll help you.

I know nothing about the Focus Pocus pattern.

I have a big Double Nine Patch made of 81 different fabrics, with squares cut 9" square, just for this reason. Set it with silly sashing (smiling suns) and backed it with manatee fabric that I couldn't stand to cut up. Then I tied it with bright embroidery floss. I use it all the time and it's my favorite. Nothing to show off, nothing fancy, just what I love.
