    Hello,
I'm wondering if any of you know of a good conversion software to convert from lets say pes format in embroidery to art format.

Do a search on here, as there were several posts about this in the last week or so. Some good ones too.

I've got Buzztools and I really like it. Easy to use. I can convert to just about anything except the Bernina Artista stuff, but my version of Buzztools is an older one. The newest versions do.

Pulse Ambassador is a free program you can use to view and convert your embroidery files:

    http://www.pulsemicro.com/index.htm

go to the right side of the screen and look for the "Ambassador" section. Click on the "free sizing and conversion embroidery software"

Hmm, guess not. It will open an .art file but looks like it will not save to an art. I have Vikings and have used it to convert .art to .hus, thought it would work the other way round. Well, what do you want for free ;-)

    Hello,
Here goes with my first post.
Can anyone tell me how toconvert a jpeg to an art50 file? I have a Bernina Aurora 440QE and currently run ARTlink v6 and Bernina Embroidery EditorLite V5. I've looked at numerous websits but they either offer software at a cost or the free software doesn't support jpeg to.art file conversion. I'd be grateful for any help. Thank you and best wishes. Jacqui

All the machine embroiderers in my guild are thrilled with EQ's Special Stitches. I don't embroider but hearing them I know it would be the program I'd buy.

I found this review from a quilt blogger: http://sewcalgal.blogspot.com/2013/0...at-do-you.html

Jpg is an image extension. You would have to digitize from it to get it into machine language, and format. The machine needs coordinates of where to put a stitch, and jpg doesn't have that. There are programs that autodigitize, but they are usually included with regular digitizing software. I don't know of any free ones.

Why don't you have a look at the free digitizing software at www.sophiesews.com --you can create design from jpeg or clipart, and there are videos that you can also d/l that show you step by step. I have it and I've viewed several of the videos, but haven't actually done a design yet. It looks easy enough with the videos to guide you. I'm not versed in the formats you can save to, so you might still need a format conversion program for your particular need.
