My husband talks to our dog, LuLu all the time. I rarely go anywhere without her in the car. Well my DH travels some and when I am in the car, he always greets LuLu. I put him on the BlueTooth Speaker and she jumps up from the seat on all four and starts looking for him!

Yes. I don't know if it makes my furbabies happier but I feel better. My longest call, in distance, was from the UK back to the US on a pay phone, no less.

Glad your son came home safe and sound! My dog does this too, if I talk to her on the phone....she hears my voice and runs around trying to find me....Only I had to stop asking to speak with her because she would get so upset!

She wouldn't stop looking until I was back home again. She only does this if I call....otherwise she just takes a nap at the door until I get back.

whenever i call my friend scott and have to leave a message i always speak to his 2 cats, toby and tang. scott says toby in particular perks up when he hears my voice and goes to the answering machine to "see" me. when i'm away from home i always speak to the animals when i call. my dh says the dogs wait, and sleep by the front door until i get home.

When I was in the hospital I always talked to my dogs on the phone. When I got to rehab, they could come see me!

I get to babysit one of my rescues, and his mom calls me all the time to talk to him. I think it's silly. oh well, I'm glad she don't have kids, she'd drive me bonkers.lol
