I agree hand made is okay, because you did use your hands

I agree, it's handmade whether you used a machine or your hands. Point is that it's not mass-produced.

I work with groups that auction quilts for charity and they usually say "Machine pieced and quilted by: " Or machine pieced and hand quilted by: as the case may be. It is also good to add your city, state and date, as it is nice to know where the quilter lives.

The question most people ask about a quilt is to know if it was hand" quilted OR "machine" quilted.

I use "handcrafted original for-------" if I make only one, if it is a pattern of my design I add "designed and handcrafted". If it is someone else's pattern I add that information. My husband is a woodworker and after a discussion this is what we came up with to encompass all the work- hand and machine aided.

When you make dinner , if you use a mixer, oven, blender, etc.... was it still not a homemade meal? It is hand made by you regardless of what equipment you used. It was not factory made. JMO

Yes. I didn't think of it that way, but you said it perfectly.

I agree that it's hand made. Why couldn't they put hand and machine quilted by.............. would solve all the worry.
