What do you say when you want to say something "bad" - but want to maintain the illusion of sounding like a lady or gentleman?

Two women met at a high school reunion. One was the popular girl from school, the other, well, not.
Not popular said, "What have you done since high school?"
Miss Popular said, "Well, I toured Europe for a year."
"Fantastic," said NP.
"Then I went to the best college money can buy."
"Fantastic," said NP.
"I met the most wonderful man, the president of a large corporation, and we had the most beautiful wedding."
"Fantastic," said NP.
"I have 2 wonderful children. My boy is a doctor and my girl just married another president of a large corporation."
"Fantastic," said NP.
"And what have you done since high school?" dripped Miss Popular.
"Oh, I went to finishing school," said NP.
"Oh really," sneered Miss Popular. "And what did you learn there?"
"To say 'fantastic' instead of b...s..."
So I say "fantastic" and smile to myself, knowing that only I know what I really meant.
