Get some of the "eggies" that are advertised on TV these days. They really do work.

First let them sit out at room temp for at least 24 hrs. Then add salt and a glub-glub of vinegar to the water. When they are boiled drain the water, shake them in the pan, turn on cold water and when cool enuf to handle peel them under the running water. Works like a cham!

I take my eggs from the refrigerator and cover with tap water. Bring to a boil. Once they reach a boil I set the timer for 1 minute. After 1 minute I turn off the burner and cover the eggs. Now I time for 20 minutes. Cool eggs with cold water until cool enough to handle. Peel and enjoy!

I have a fool proof method. Take the fresh eggs and place them in a paper towel, put the eggs in a pan, add cold water, and 1 teaspoon of vinegar to the water. When the water starts to boil, reduce the heat until the eggs are simmering. Put the timer on for exactly 12 minutes. Your eggs will be done, with no green ring around the yolk. I forgot to add, that you put ice cubes in the water right away to stop the boiling. When the eggs are cooled enough, you can peel them. Perfect every time.

I'm just glad to know that I am not the only one who seems to have problems peeling hard boiled eggs without destroying the egg itself! Thought it was just me! I'm mean how hard could it be to peel and egg!

Could be partly because I have fresh eggs everyday thanks to
our "girls" as my DH calls them!

Thanks, I now can sleep at night knowing I can overcome this!

SALT, SALT, SALT the water. That will do it. They will peel perfectly if you generously salt the water they are being boiled in.

Don't waste your money on the "eggies" ~ As Seen on TV. I bought them, tried them, and they're not worth the effort, plus my chickens lay large eggs and the yolk wouldn't fit thru the top hole. Guess I could have scrambled them, but the end result was still not good.
