My friend saves hers and has made one of those bags. It is pretty cute. If I think about it I do save my salvage for her.

I love the bag I made< not very clear in this picture...I call it my bag of many colors. I can tote my show and tell quilts, other projects to work on, use it as a carry on or overnight bag, or even storage for whatever.

I try to trim them off using a 1 1/4 inch measurement. That seems to give me enough to sew over the top. When I do these, I layer the next piece on top of raw edge of previous one so you not have an edge to turn under. The 1 1/4 inch width seems to work for me.

Wow, can't believe all the creative ideas people have for using selvages. My husband will laugh but I think I'll have to start saving them, at the very least to send along to those of you who are using them to make wonderful things. Thanks for all the posts!
