I used to have a little spider that lived in my kitchen window. She lived there for almost a year and it was fun to watch her catch those pesky fruit flies.

Well, now that I'm itching all over from just seeing that thing I think I'll go quilt something!

I agree, they have a right to life too and catch a lot of bad bugs that ruin your garden. So many humans want to kill everything. If I find a spider or bug in my home, I catch it with a hand towel and put it outside.

I have a spider that builds a perfect web on my kitchen window! As many times as I go clean it off, he rebuilds so I let him stay as long as he understands his domain is OUTSIDE the window and not IN:):)

Having lived in AZ for more than 20 years we didn't see a lot of web producing spiders other than the black widow. I thought I remembered that wolf spiders were ground spiders so looked it up. They are still impressive none the less and because they are venomous I would usually stomp on one if I saw it in the yard.
Sure enough: "Wolf spiders are active hunters that do not produce a snaring web. They may make a silk lined retreat in soil, under rocks or in other protected sites." I just let the garden spiders exist and work around them as they supply much needed services and I find their webs intriguing. Ann in TN

Spiders outside get to live, come inside and I will spray you with cheap hairspray and give you an amusement ride down the toilet. My house, my rule. (or the cat will eat you if she finds you first)

I have spent much too much time watching spiders build their webs. Mesmerizing. Amazing. I love spiders. As long as they don't hide in dark places. Those usually are the dangerous ones (widows, hermits, ets). The other ones usually don't bother you. Pictures are beautiful - love those garden spiders - build webs with ladders on them.

I'm not crazy about spiders, I think this one is a writing spider, I have black and yellow ones around my house. I just leave them alone. I don't mind outside ones but I really hate inside ones.
