I like your pigs, too!! They look just like little piggies to me! I often use invisible thread to hold down applique pieces and then don't have to change thread. My brother would like your quilt-he's a hog farmer with his two sons.

Since you like pigs, I found this one recently -a cute flying pig applique pattern:

I love it!!! If I did pigs I would do these.

    Dee,
Look in your local Joannes and I think you can find a yarn that will duplicate what a curly tail looks like. Let us know if this works. gmajudy

I too think they are absolutely adoreable. IF you don't want to embroider the detail on the pigs - there is paint in a metal tube called Aunt Mary's paint. This can be used in lieu of embroider floss. I know you can get this paint in JoAnns, saw some there Saturday. You could use that to make your lines and tail instead of embroidering. Just be sure to use a hot iron and set the paint with a topper cloth that you don't care about. I think my first washing I'd also use vinegar in the water to help as well. Good luck with this precious cute - you are doing a great job.

When in doubt, leave it out (the excess detail stitching)....except for the tails.... I can see some 3-D curly-Q tails hand-embroidered in some way... maybe use thicker threads or a thin yarn???

    ADORABLE! Good luck!
