I can't stand spiders! I yell for Mighty Mouse (DH) when I see one in the house. He sprays some kind of stuff around the house and it keeps pests away for about three months.

LOL They are helpers and I appreciate the good things they do, I just don't want one around where I don't know where it is and if I DO know where it is, it better NOT be in my bed, on my body or about to be in either of those places. LOL

I'm just glad he's/she's YOURS. I don't want it near my state if I can keep it that far!

Last year we had one like that on our front door for about 4 months. When the 'grands' came, they observed it, the web was awesome! It was fun - and after awhile it sort of gained 'pet status', although we never actually pet it.

Yes, I know I'm a little wierd, but I NEVER had to feed it, clean up its' business, stepped in its business, never had to take it for a walk, and none of our neighbors complained about it barking in the night! Now that I think about it, it probably scared off a few unwelcome visitors...my kind of pet!

Then DH and I went away for a couple of weeks. The kids who mow our lawn did us a favor and cleaned our spider away. Or it packed up and moved.

Can't stand them. I would pick up a snake and beat a
spider to death. I have a 51 yo son and a43yo daughter who feelthe same way.

Golden Garden Spider.... beautiful, but I'm paranoid! Snakes I'm good with, but spiders send me running.

Are you sure its not a 'Garden spider'? They are really beneficial spiders, especially for eating grasshoppers, aphids, and other less desirable insects.

Always thought they were called Golden Graden Spider, but you could be right!
