I love CT's cottons & thread but the batiks are very thin. I haven't used much batik so can't really compare. The mirage fabric that I got from them seemed very nice to me. Their kits have generous cuts of fabric. I usually have enough scraps left over for other small projects.

I really like their thread and have ordered fabric only once, actually it was a kit and they were very generous with the yardage and I don't think it was thin at all.

I've been very happy with their threads. Don't usually order fabric online as I am a "touchy feely" shopper.

(Now their thread is great, my machine hums with it and it not anymore linty than the coats and clark or star brand from LQS. It feeds nicely through the needle for FMQ practice. I will be buying more when it goes on sale.)

I like their thread also, use Silver or Natural for piecing all the time. The price is right, I buy when on they're on sale and when ordering a kit or fabric so there's no shipping and handling costs. Also I find much less lint than Coats and Clark or Star threads that I had been using previously.

Their fabrics are a little thinner than some of the fabrics at LQS's but still sturdy enough for long wear. I love their colonial looking blues, browns and beiges. Made a queen size quilt from one of their kits in those colors, price was very good for all that fabric and it came out beautifully. May in Jersey

It is machine thread. I just love it. It has never broken on me or anything - holds real well. Edie

I have never received anything of poor quality from Connecting Threads...order from them frequently. Have no fear!
