My son in law was an eagle scout. Last summer I was visiting his mother, and she was getting ready to throw out all of his scout badges, clothes, etc. I was appalled - and snatched it all out of the garbage sack for him. One day I'm hoping that he will ask me to make him a quilt....
Don't wait for him to ask you to make a quilt. Just make it & surprise him with it for Christmas or birthday. You could make it a memory quilt, using a number of fabrics for things he has been interested/involved in throughout the years.

Glad to hear of your son making Eagle. All three of my sons made Eagle and now some of the grands are headed that way and I have started to make them scout quilts. Wish they had the fabrics out when my boys were younger.

I am very proud of him and proud of all the young people who work hard toward such admirable goals. In this day and age it does my heart good. Can't wait to see a picture!
