I would like to participate in the challenge. I have just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have to lose weight.

I was already under the impression that you had to reply every week. I might have been silent otherwise!

We're greedy. We want to hear from each other every day. I'm not fond of the word 'rule' and who's going to monitor it? I do think it needs to be a strong recommendation.
I haven't posted much the last 48 hours because I've had the flu or food poisoning, but it's so minor compared to what some are going through I didn't want to mention it. It's getting better. I have to well enough tomorrow to make my son's birthday cake and go on a road trip Sunday to go to his surprise party.
I'm in, of course. I lost five pounds last month for the first time in a long time. Even if you subtract two because the insect bite reaction pounds, I still lost 3 and that's good for me. Actually it was more today, but it'll be back as soon as I can eat.
Xylie, you need to get some acidophilus if you're taking antibiotics. Replenish the good bacteria the antibiotic kills along with the bad ones. You remind me I need to call a dentist. I think I have a cavity, wah, wah, wah.
I am losing weight and getting healthier. I truly am on both counts and I appreciate the encouragement I've received here.

Irish,
I don't like "rules" either. I just feel frustrated.
Maybe being "stuck" in the house and "stuck" on weight loss is making me gripey and grumpy.
We need each participant to get good ideas and keep motivated.
I am praying earnestly for Cindy.
Stomach bugs are no fun, I have enough weird stomach issues from my meds that I can empathize.
For all of our newbies, we are happy to have you. You will be more successful if you participate fully in the forum and the tools that are suggested. The more people that join, the more likely we are to have great losses.

I take a cranberry pill every day because several weeks ago I had an outbreak of yeast. I did the usual medications and cranberry juice - which I hate. but the cranberry pills seem to do the trick

I'm in and excited to get extra motivation for Oct. - Just saw change to have each participant check in weekly. I like that - it will help me get over my shyness as I'm new to participating. I was a lurker for a long time. My day's not complete unless I check this out what's going on here. I was diagnosed with diabetes Oct 2010 and have lost 67# this last year. Right now I'm stuck and not losing like I was. So this is a wonderful opportunity to get more support and maybe get some fabric if I am lucky enough to win.
