Be sure to let us know how you like it! I've been looking at a couple machines including this one...so will be anxious to hear your comments after using it.

Please keep us updated! I am thinking about this exact machine, especially to try to learn FMQ. I have been sewing on a 50-year-old Riccar for years...and has made many quilts! I have only done SID with it. It sounds like a Mac truck, seriously! I have maintained it well, although it was recently giving me problems and I had it serviced for the first time. Come to find out it had a broken hook, a messed up bobbin case, and a few burrs, etc. Now it runs quite nicely.

My husband has been telling me for years to get a new machine. But I always tend to make due with what I have. Plus, I never took the time to research what I may want/need until this past week. The Juki looks like a great machine that would suit me. The features look amazing to me. So...I may take the plunge and get myself into the 21st century with my sewing.

Can't wait to hear how you do with FMQ.

I know you are going to love your Juki. I have had mine (same model) for 4 months now. and am liking it better every day. I do borders by FMQ, after doing the body of the quilt on a John Flyn Frame. I can no longer bend over to baste or pin my quilts, so this frame does away with that step. It was my only choice because of space. I have done 14 Quilts of Valor already, and every one gets quicker and better! But I really love the SPEED of the machine; no putsying around for sure! Just keep her filled with oil and check out that 'trap door' underneath for lint removal---it's great!
I checked with a couple of local repairmen who used to carry Juki; they will tend to her if ever needed. Welcome to the sisterhood. Do you know that there is a yahoo site just for Juki owners? Some good answers there at times.

I got a TL98Q used last year at the same time I got a used Brother Nouvelle on a New Joy Gold Standard Frame (10 ft). I love my Juki - it is definitely my go to machine. Enjoy!!
