I am so glad that you rescued this quilt. I don't understand how people can discard something so beautiful, especially when it was given as a gift.

What a beautiful quilt. I always buy them at yard sales if the price is right. And that price was great.

OH MY GOODNESS....Was she crazy?!?!?! Beautiful. What a find. I love old quilts. Can't you just see the love and pride that went into it.

What a wonderful find. It is almost like she gave it to you. It saddens me to hear that people do not understand the value of something handmade, esp. this craft, Will my quilts turn up in a yard sale or at Gooodwill? What a horrid thought.
We are a throw away society. I'll bet she has an ugly quilt from Walmart on the bed.

When I hear a story like this and see the pictures, I think of the sweet little hands that put all those pieces of fabric together. And the love that went into it. I love, love, love the old fashioned pieced quilts. I'm not much into the new "art" quilts. That quilt in now in loving hands. Enjoy!
