I think Hobby Lobby started in Oklahoma as they had several at least 20+ years ago. I like their fabric for some things. Like table runners, etc. It's a little better than JoAnn's and nicely displayed in our store. I haven't been able to get the cutting lady to use my 40% off coupon on any fabric as it's usually 30% off.

Maybe we could have a quilting board meetup when the Temecula store opens?? Anyone interested?

I'd be interested in one when the Rancho Cucamonga store opens."

Sounds like fun to me.

Love Hobby Lobby. Great fabric, good coupons. Limited notions but on sale all the time. Prefer Hobby Lobby to Joann's. My opinion only.

Went for the 1st time last week....small inventory but very nice fabric....a bit pricey though for me. Everything in this store is awesome and plenty of craft ideas, things for your home but still a pricey store.

You must be in Temecula....Hi neighbor...I live in Aguanga, up the mountain, via Hwy 79 south to Hwy 371, on the way to Palm Springs, just before little town of Anza. It's pretty rural up here, so come down to Temecula about once a week to shop. I will be going to Joanns tomorrow morning. I will have to check out the new Hobby Lobby...you say it is going in the old Mervyns store on Ynez.
I think Joann's needs to hire more people to cut fabric, the
wait is way too long! Maybe some competition for them will help, along with our Walmart now having fabric again.

Hobby Lobby also coming to Merced and Modesto (old Mervyn's. Good news for all of us who have visited Hobby Lobby in other states.

Hobby Lobby won't be open on Sundays, so plan ahead. I like them better than Michaels or JoAnns, mainly because of the cleanliness. They will also carry yarns and will have a nice selection of them.

We have Hobby Lobby and Joann's and they both have good points about them. Hobby Lobby has some beautiful material and the ones that I have bought have been excellent quality. Joann's has a bigger selection and does give me a larger choice and I have bought from both. Hobby Lobby will let you use the 40 percent off coupon even on their sale items if it is less than the 40 percent. Their calicos seem to be 30 percent off all the time but they will let you use the 40 percent off any way but of course it is only off the regular price and not the sale price. Joann's will not let you do that. If the calico is 30 percent off and you have a 40 percent off coupon they will not let you use it.
