Hi and welcome from Pennsylvania! I used to have a friend who lived in Fairbanks, but never got there to visit before he passed last year. I'd love to see Alaska sometime.

Welcome to the Board from Central California. This is a great place to learn new things and share with others.

I am sure you are excited about this, are you planning
on living full time in Alaska? I liked the Homer Spit area My husband can not figure that one out. To tell the truth I can not either- As I also loved the Seward area. Well now if I had to pick an area (for real) I would have to put all the cities names into a hat & draw.
Keep on quilting

We thought about moving there - some say that Alaska is like Vermont was 60 years ago - only I think Alaska is prettier. We decided it was too far away from the grandkids, so we are not moving. But we will rent an RV and have a place to park - near the Kenai river - and will do a lot of fishing. I also like Homer - went Halibut fishing out of there 2 years ago and it was so much fun!!!
