Has anyone tried Sharon Schamer's method to glue down your binding before you sew? I haven't either, but threaten to try it sometime.

No, you aren't weird. I love to do binding.....it's the finishing touch. I sew it on the front by nachine and hand stitch it to the back. My stitches are small and close.

I find it relaxing and it's a great feeling knowing the quilt is almost done.

I was amazed when I started this group to find some people like to do binding! To me it's rather like saying you enjoy a root canal.

I like doing the binding too... sew on front by machine and sew down at the back by hand... great feeling when finished.

I always thought I was weird, too! I love handstitching the binding on...relaxing work, and I can do so many other things while I sew. It's a plus that it's the 'finishing touch'. Glad to see I have company!

I am a new quilter myself so I don't know even how to do binding, but I do know that my sister ready for her quilt to be done.

I don't think it's weird. When the binding is on the quilt is complete and I can move onto another project because this one isn't a UFO!!!
To each his own, whether by hand or machine. :)
