How lucky can you get, they are just wonderful. Do you mind telling how much you paid?

Great find....I think these little ladies are desperate to be finished and loved. I too can't believe someone could part with something a family member had created. I still wear a fine knitted waistcoat my mother made for me when I was 16 (true classic patterns never date) and I am well into my forties. My linen press and chest of drawers contain needlework items created by my grandmother and my great grandmother and most are still in great condition, are loved and still in use.

At least think about it for awhile before you sell them, you may be sorry you sold them  down the road

I could never!

You found a gold mind. Just frame them in, join them, add a border, and you've got yourself a quilt. That is when you have the time to complete whatever they left undone, lol. Myra

This makes me happy for you but sad for somebody because it probably means that a loved one is gone either to illness or death. Thank goodness you, a true appreciator of the work, found these. Have fun making something cute!

Oh, I just quickly read past replies and saw you gave them to somebody else here.... that's good too... as long as they are used in a cute project. I sure hope brendadawg shows us the completed quilt!

Terrific find and I'm sure that Brendadawg will be giving them a good home. Not that the family of the dear lady that made them will care. Geeesh......how could they sell them???

Wow! What a find! These are beautiful. I love the Sunbonnet Sue pattern. Are you going to make a quilt with them?

Those are gorgeous! They look big, like they would make more than one quilt. I, too, cannot believe she sold her grandmother's work. I don't think I could part with anything my grandmother made.
