Last month I got to visit with an old friend I haven't seen in 8 yrs. Her house was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina (2005 ?) and she's just now got her new house built nad is about to move in so I wanted to make her something special. I dyed the fabrics for this, I ordered teal and truffle brown, it sure looks maroon to me but it still looks good together. I was hoping the curling ribbon border would look like the twisted wicker around a basket (it's staying whether it looks like it or not!) LOL

Kathy your quilt is wonderful. Glad your friend is getting into her new home. Four year is a long time to wait.

the quilt is terrific. you do lovely work. but the dye job is fantastic! i've only ever bought dye from dharma trading. where do buy yours?

Beautiful, and so thoughtful of you. She will certainly be touched to receive your "housewarming" gift to her.
