I just made this halloween quilt from a 5 inch charm pack, it's a disappearing 4 patch block, it was fun and easy. I'm sure there's a tutorial available here, but I just googled disappearing 4 patch to find instructions.

WOW!!!! You folks are all great. Now to decide which idea for the Christmas 5"squares to use. Many thanks for the wonderful ideas and suggested sites. Will post once I am done.

I've made a bunch of coasters using my 5" squares. Tie up a batch with ribbon, and voila! Instant hostess gifts.

I made a star quilt with my nickles. I cut them in quarters for the points and the centers were cut to 4 1/2 inches.. the star was saw tooth star.
