Help! I accidently snipped my quilt top!

I snipped the edge while adding the binding (I was trying to square up the top with my rotary cutter) and my repair was to applique with tiny hand stitching some of the same backing fabric over, using very tiny hidden stitches. Match the pattern as best you can.

I would use some iron-on interfacing on the back side of the snip then use a small zig zag or hand stitch or whatever small stitch looks best on the snip part.
