Did you ever see the movie "How to Make an American Quilt"? When they got it finished, she had it wrapped around herself walking down the driveway, dragging it on the ground!!!

I saw that, she truly understood the meaning of the quilt!! I loved her doing that!

Please tell me you did that in strips and not in individual squares. That is just mind boggling - and beautiful but oh my that just looks like a ton of work but so worth it in the end. Just stunning!

It is all individually pieced, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, the hardes part is doing the squares with the x in them as there are 60 of them, after that it is a piece of cake becasue the rest there is only 15 of each.

had I focused I probably could have had the top done in about 4 to 5 days. there are a lot of pieces, but they are small so they don't take long to do, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

With the cutting directions given with the pieces for one block you can easily do just a lap quilt or something, and maybe narrow it down to one or two of the secondary blocks as well.

So, I am wondering how many quilts that I am going to be seeing done out of this pattern, I hope when you get them done that you post pictures,

To be honest I was not sure that anyone would want to make a quilt that I did. It makes me very happy to see the response to it.

    So thank you all.

This is an amazing quilt. I love the colors, and the black block stripes really set it off beautifully. Awesome!
