I do....I've bought exactly how much I need and then cut it wrong and can't get more of the same and have to start all over again. Lesson learned the hard way.

Yep, I just purchased 13 yards of a southwest fabric, and I only think I need about 6 yards to make a lap quilt for my mother in law. I'm fussy cutting.

I do, never know if you can find certain fabrics for a pattern so I always get over the amount in case.

You GO girl! I wish I had 'peered' back at my DH. If you need something to say, repeat after me:

#1: it LEGAL. No police wanting to arrest you for your 'stash'
#2: Its cheaper than a private investigator or therapy. My DH knows where I am when he is out of town...and he WORKS out of town!
#3: Making them yourself is ALOT cheaper than paying someone else to make them for you.

I think #2 is my favorite. When I told my DH that (when I had my sewing room torn up pre- long arm), his eyes got REALLY wide! too funny!

Sounds like me. My stash really started in the late 80's when a favorite shop went out of business. All good quality and a great comfort when I look at todays prices.

I always buy extra... especially if it's something I love!
