Already pre-ordered from Amazon.com. Can't wait as I have all of them.

HI,
I sent a pm, I also belong to the local quilt guild in Dickinson, and I know some of them have read the series too.

I enjoyed the Union Quilter very much. I have always been interested in history, especially Southern history. However, it is sad to realize that we treated each other in such a way as was depicted.

She won't actually be at Learned Owl, it's too small. She is coming to a local retirement village called Laurel Lake, it's a beautiful place and has a big room for seating a crowd. We drove out through a horrible snowstorm to see her there when Union Quilters came out, but her flight into Cleveland was cancelled so she could'nt make it. It would be fun if a group of the local board members could meet there!

I have pre-ordered from Amazon--both the new one and Sonoma Rose due out in February.

I saw this on Amazon the other day. I guess I will put this on my Christmas list. May be time to start reading them all again. So far I have read them all twice. Always a good read!

I liked the Union Quilters. It was a different take on the war from the North's side. It was hard to start but I kept reading and it got much better. I love her books!

I haven't read The Union Quilters yet though.
Hmmm....I think I'll go to the library tomorrow.
I just read The Union Quilters this week and it's not as quilt-oriented as some of her others....pretty good but she's written better, IMO.
