My threads are everywhere! On the carpet, on my clothes, everywhere but in the pin cushion/thread bag. That seems to catch my pins instead!

I have two trash cans in my sewing room and two thread cathchers but still end up having thread and fabric scraps on the floor and me. And yes, I have gone to the grocery store, drug store, Hancock's, Hobby Lobby, the Quilt Shop, church and various other places with thread stuck to my clothers. I keep one of the sticky lint rollers in my sewing room and occasionally run it over my carpet and use a swiffer to pick them up off the hardwood floor areas.

I have a can that I try to put my clippings in. Than when I have time I sandwich them in between 2 layers of water solvey & embroidery a designs on top to make a xmas ornament. I will try to make one & post a picture.

Usually they end up in my lap and THEN on the floor. I bought a lint roller so I could pick up the thread clippings before they ended up on the floor.

keep them in a special place such as the basket or bag on the edge of the table. Have kitties and dog and don't want them to get a hold of any and eat them.

Really have to watch it when sewing and then leave the house. Many times I will be wearing at least some of the threads.

I use a piece of Warm and Natural about 5x5 sitting along side my machine for clippings...catches most of them. I also have a long handled roller which I can use on the floor when I am done sewing which works like the kind you use on your clothes to take lint off. Works good on carpet too before you use the vacuum.

Did you make it? Tell us where you got the pattern! And is it posted? If so, give us the link. If not, take a picture and post it!

I had never heard of a thread catcher before joining this board, now I see a few patterns or threads about making them here and there. I see how one could be very handy. I do a lot of handwork and usually pile my threads in the corner of the tray that I use to hold all my supplies. They always seem to be such a problem!

Please post it and send me a PM so I catch the post! :D :D
