Very cute quilt! First thought that came to mind was "red".

Bright red bandana fabric for a border all the way around.

I'm one of those crazy people that fold my backing fabric over and use it as the binding. Patched bandana back would work to fold over as binding tooo

How about auditioning the red/and or brown before committing to it. Cute quilt by the way. Stripes will make good border/and or binding also.

Hmmm I like the red in it, maybe for sure use red binding. Maybe a cute black white dot/spot/paws (like the dog) for border.

Unless you need it larger ... I'd leave it as is and just bind it off.

I always think of lots of green grass in the pastures where the cows eat and the horses run. How about a green boarder?

My first thought was red but I like the idea of the red bandana fabric for the border.
