My sister and I talked about the show this morning and booked flights tonight!!!! Looking into hotels tomorrow... any suggestions to hotels fairly close but not big bucks.. (hot tube is a must) renting a car so don't mind driving.
And as far as Houston traffic goes, any worse than Chicago?
Thanks for the info..Flyin in 3rd at night and out Sunday night!

Houstons traffic is bad during rush hours 6-9ish and 3:30-6:30 travel in between those hours and you will be fine. Weekend traffic is not bad.

My sister and I were late in deciding to go and did not meet the sept deadline to sign up for classes... So am I understanding that you have to wait till the show starts and sign up when we get there if the class is still available?
Or how do you sign up now for classes?
Booked a hotel 5 miles south at the Mainstay hotel any body else staying there?

Yes. I am going for the 1st time and excited about going. I am enrolled in a Saturday AM class "Nine Patch Table Runner". I didn't get my other class choices because I was too late for the sign up. At least I'm going. I didn't want too many classes, so I could have time to check as much out as I can. :) I'll be there 3-4 days, staying with a quilting friend who lives 20 minutes away.

I can't wait. I live just outside of Houston and have only missed one year in the last 19. This is the first time that I am staying in the connected Hotel and taking classes. My roomy is by quilting BFF.

Have fun ladies and gents. Go if you get the chances. It is amazing.

Yes, I'm going my friend and I are driving we are about 9 hrs. away. We are leaving early Wednesday and we are both taking classes. I'm taking This old itlian block on Friday. This is my second year to attend the Houston show. It's amazing, people from all over the world, vendors galore. I am sooo excited.
