I have a dual control mattress warmer pad on my bed. That decides the temp for each side. The Other Problem mentioned in the link provided was one I didn't have to deal with, thank goodness. Two beds sometimes makes for a happy marriage. No one says you can't visit if you get lonely. :)

I wonder if you could make more of duvet, with the top divided into two parts. Into one you could insert something warmer, and leave the other half empty or filled with something very light. The top could be pieced like a quilt.

Sort of like a 4-sided placemat only on a much larger scale :)

I would buy a heat blanket that has dual controls. They are made for on top of you or under you.

I worked for a couple that each had their own downe covers with duvet covers on them. I would have to shake them out and either air them or roll em and put in closet,and then proceed to make the bed with her fancy silky,frilly stuff she liked,with mounds of pillows. Worked for them if he wasn't sleeping in the other room. LOL.

I had never heard of this kind of blanket lol & I checked out this site that btiny36 gave. Let me tell you I e-mailed it to my husband of over 30 yrs. can't wait to hear his come back on this. lol.
I wonder if you could buy the blanket and add your own quilt top to it. Just a thought! Going to keep my eye on this to see what someone comes up with.

Whole thing makes no sense to me.
Living alone does have its perks, I guess LOL
Edited: Apparently there are two different marriage coverings, the one I referenced that somehow traps orders - and another one that uses different battings (I didn't see anything about this one);
I also read the on traping odors and wonder what kind of filter system it has. still lol
