Quilter54,
I used a back stitch and French knots. The design was enlarged to 16" for a large pillow and I may embellish it with some swarvroski stones when it's finished.

i do other color on red work you don't have to have red all the time you can mix your colors too

Years ago I completed a project that the wreath was very similiar to yours but it was done in crewel embroidery and VERY colorful. Turned out just beautiful..so if you want color - go for it! Let us know how you dicide and please post pictures.

You should go for it! I do redwork in any color I please. Red is my fave, but if the patterns asks for something else I don't hesitate. Wonderful pattern!
