I have four sewing machine panels to quilt and bind that I will use as wallhangings in my sewing/bedroom. Knitting dishcloths and knitting a scarf for DD's birthday in a week. The scarf is going quickly, will be done in a couple of days.

Started yesterday with a sewing session with my buddy. Finished 2 pillowcases for gifts, two blocks for a Christmas quilt drawing for my quilt group, started a magic tile quilt using christmas fabric. Working on my Thanksgiving hanging this weekend.

It depends on the Nor'easter that is coming through. If I lose power I will piece strips on the treadle. If I don't lose power I will finish a flannel/fleece quilt that needs to be bound, and start on another. Since my sewing studio is in the basement I can't work there without power, can't see.

My sister calls it her "insanity" sewing. She has a piece of fabric, needle and thread and starts sewing. Some figures look like flowers, she even has one of a design that looks like a sperm traveling upstream (or wherever)! It is a total no-pattern design and then she embellishes it with beads or buttons or lace. Then she puts them all together, sews them by hand and makes a quilt. Hers are absolutely gorgeous. Needle, thread, a piece of fabric. Plain or printed! Edie

Just finished the top of a wall-hanging for my daughter for her birthday (Jan 1). Now I just have to figure out hoe to quilt it. I have never quilted before. Oh, well, there is a first time for everything.
