I'm in Polk County........halfway between Orlando and Tampa. Originally from metro Boston then 20 years in NH. We moved here in 1993.

I'm in Fort Myers, out in the Shores....that's east, as far as you can go before you hit Alva. We lived in town the first year we were here, in 93, and then moved on out. We moved down from St. Louis, Mo., and I always thought it was kind of funny when people complain about it taking 30 minutes to drive back in. It takes longer than that to get to the grocery store, library...almost anywhere, when you live in a big city. I love living in Florida, where there is still plenty of wide open spaces.

Since there are so many quilters in Fort Myers, can one of you recommend someone to clean and maybe repair an old Singer 15 clone?

I'll have to look you up the next time I go to Florida!

Florida would be in much worse shape without our snowbirds! Thanks.

I am south and west of Kissimmee. We like to go on Fabric Acquisition Road Trips to both Coasts and to the Deland area. You meet the nicest people!
