Love it. I love to make the background scrappy, too. Seems like it adds texture or depth-not sure what the term, but so much more interesting to me.

Beautiful quilt! I'm trying to do a scrappy. Any tips on how to do one without driving myself crazy with "ewww, that doesn't match".

hello, the pattern was in the June 2009 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting. The designer is
Carrie Nelson. I think it was called Pick and Choose.
