What a gorgeous find. Isn't it interesting that beauty is, indeed, in the eye of the beholder. You saw what it could be and it is now in an honored place. Kudos to you. Thank you for sharing this lovely quilt find.

Just beautiful! My gracious! All the hard, time consuming work that someone put in this beautiful quilt. I know you were so happy to get your hands on it and especially coming out so white and clean. Good job for the one that made the quilt and for you for bringing the quilt back to life and appreciating it so. If the lady has passed on, I imagine she is smiling right now.

This is just beautiful! Are you going to try and find out who the owners are? Isn't there a site for missing quilts?

Beautiful, just beautiful. It would go perfectly with the lovely embroidered quilt I just got at the estate sale last weekend. It's just amazing that someone would put that kind of work into a quilt, and then their family members discard them. But, you and I now have treasures, don't we. I told my dh yesterday that I am going to sit down and make a list of where each one of my quilts needs to go. My dil already is drooling over the beautiful white and embroidered one.

Should you ever decide you don't love your anymore, send it on over here. Mine would love a "sibling". Great find, great rescue.

It's a beauty. I am amazed that Oxy-Clean did such a wonderful job. My next purchase at the grocery store!
