The teflon is great. It helps the fabric slide around on your table with ease. The one I saw was big enough to fit on an acrylic machine table.

I have used the clear vinyl and just the large extension....the vinyl had a rubbery feel, so the quilt would not glide at all. We decided to coat the vinyl, extension, and machine bed with car wax....Works fantastic! Just make sure the wax doesn't have a lot of grit.

Not use about your extension tabel but I don't have one. Used Pledge polish on my tables surrounding the quilt and that worked great. It just slid all over the place!

Sounds like you just need to lift the body of the quilt so it isn't hanging and getting stuck on the lip of the table. I usually put it on my shoulder!

I also have an Espire and I am experiencing the same thing. Even when I don't have a large quilt to FMQ, it still seems to stick abit. I'll be interested in what solutions you get.

are you using a walking foot. I use the slider it is a teflon piece, seems to help.

This is a tip I got today from Quilting Daily

To help the quilt sandwich slide smoothly over the surface of your sewing area, use spray sizing when you iron the backing of your quilt.
