Because of one characteristic of flannel, be sure to wash and dry it three times before using. This is to get all the "shrink" out.

Neo Natal ICUs always need receiving blankets for preemies. Check with the local hospital to see what size they need. They also need quilts that can go home with the new babies.

As others have already said flannel makes nice backs for baby blankets.

I'm a Quilts for Kids volunteer & our chapter (Ann Arbor) would have no problem figuring out what to do that! Lots & lots of QFK!
