The one quilt shop I went to was in Bartlett and that where the lady told me "good luck with that" when I told her I was using a treadle to quilt with. But there are 2 or 3 shops there, and a few in Memphis but be careful of the crime, I always tell folks if Tennessee had an armpit Memphis would be it.

I live in Milington, about 15-20 Miles north of Memphis, I also went to the quilt shop in Bartlett and about the same greeting as Billy, decided that wasn't the shop for me! If you have time while you're here, Marshall Dry Goods in Batesville Arkansas is only about 2 1/2 hr drive, but so worth the trip!!!

I agree with you, it would be fun to gather together once a month in the East area of Tn. and then maybe once a year we could meet with all the people from the Nashville and Memphis areas. It is fun to spend time with people of "like interests" and share out craft and our lives.

Hi Navy Wife....This is Lois from Johnson City area, never did get a chance to get together any chance before the weather changes. Don't you go somewhere warm for the winter? Nice to find us on the same board again.
