How can I post smilies again when I make comments?

I was using google chrome and was not seeing the icons at the top of my reply box. Switched internet explorer and sure enough there they are. Thank you.

Can you see the bar that has font and size on it? If you can, let your mouse pointer thingy(love the tech term) hover over the other empty squares and different things will show up for each box. The box beside size on mine comes up text color and the next one comes up Smiley. Hope this helps.

actually the smilees weren't there until the next day. took a day for my update to take effect i guess. still must click on advanced instead of quick reply of course.

I tried to post with smilees but got locked up completely for five minutes. could'nt even close the web. again, frustrating.
i usually don't have this much trouble.
