I mostly read Christian Fiction. There are many excellent authors. I happen to have just finished a very good book called "Wild Horses" by Linda Byler and I am reading "the Mercy" now by Beverly Lewis. These two happen to be set in Amish settings. Other authors I like are Karen Kingsbury, Colleen Coble and Linda Nichols, plus many others. I tend to like adventure stories, and mysteries even if they have some type of love story woven in. I don't care quite as much for straight love stories.

Jennifer Chiaverini's series is the best. I just found Monica Ferris who writes about a handwork shop. I liked book one.

If you like mysteries/adventure, read Steig Larson, The Girl Who, series. They are a great read.

I've just discovered the Inspector Rutledge mysteries by Charles Todd (really a mother and son are the authors). I picked up one and loved it so much that I tracked down all the books online. Very well written.

I like the cozy mysteries and have many authors and series that I have read. Here are a few.
Kate Collins - Flower shop mystery series
Cleo Coyle - Coffeehouse series
Joanne Fluke - Cookie Jar series - a favorite
Carolyn Haines - all her books have "bones" in the name
Nancy Atherton - Aunt Dimity series (Aunt Dimity is a ghost) You need to get the first one
to find out who she is. She's not a scary ghost.
Cynthia Baxter - Cats & Dogs series - She's a vet.
Rita Mae Brown - Mrs. Murphy series
I go to Amazon.com and by used books. You can read "first pages" of them. It also leads to
more books like these. I also have a Kindle and need to get more on it. I like to go to the book
sales at the library to get used books.
Reading at night is my sleeping pill.
