I guess I would be suspicious if I got an e-mail from USPS and I hadn't given them my e-mail addy. I tend to be suspicious by nature, when it comes to e-mails. If it doesn't look quite right, I don't open it. There are just too many scams out there these days, especially with the holidays near. I have mailed many packages lately and have never once been asked for my e-mail addy.

I do a lot of buying and selling on the internet.
I never open any message of delivery type to my email.
If i figure there might be an issue with something I ordered
I call the company I ordered from direct.
email goes to spam always...just safer that way.

Box is on it's way south from Ohio to someone who is posting here. :-) No box here yet, but it is just as well. I am also in the New Year swap and already got my box and opened -- no rules about not opening there and I have problems with delayed gratification.
