Don't know which Rowenta I currently have - might be 'Professional'. Not sure of exact model number. I'm probably in the minority here but I do like my Rowenta. I'm on my second and getting ready to purchase a 3rd if DH can't resolve my cord issue. Was just looking at the 'Focus' the other day. About $100 at Sears. Haven't looked elsewhere but it was the highest wattage and had the most vent holes of the models they had. I've never had issues with them dripping or spitting unless I've overfilled. It is VERY important, IMO, to make sure you read the instruction manual to see if your particular Rowenta needs tap or distilled water. I believe that is the key to having them last. My current one is probably 10 years old and I'm having issues with where the cord comes out of the iron. The other Euro Pro iron that I have has the same issues so I'm sure it's me and not the iron's themselves.

It's the 4th rated iron by consumer reports. 83 out of 100 points and the top rated iron had 88 points so it looks like a good iron. Also, they say it should go for $75. Sears is high. I found the same irons at Bed Bath and Beyond for $10 less and I was able to use my 20% off coupon as well.

Don't know which model I have but I don't like my Rowenta. Steam is hit and miss, shuts down for no reason. Also no steam is produced unless the well is at least half full. And it doesn't get very hot. I iron everything including synthetics on the wool/cotton setting and it doesn't scorch. Back to Black & Decker for my next iron.

As long as it is made in Germany you should be okay.

I ask because Joann's is having it on sale for $59.99 from $119.99 on Decemeber 1rst....there is also another one on sale this weekend for Black Friday for $39.99 from $79.99. I do my shopping online so I am not worried about the crowds. Thanks for the input.
