I use Collins hem and binding clips once I've sewn all the way around and am ready to do the hand part, I use 3 to 4 just to help keep the binding in place. To join at the end, I overlap the width of the binding less 1/8", and I sew the two ends with a diagonal seam. hope this helps

I also ladder stitch my bindings. At first I used pins, too much finger poking. Then I went to the snap type hair clips, worked just fine. I took a quilt with me to a weekend away and forgot the clips. Found out that with the ladder stitch you don't really need to pin, clip, or glue. Binding turned out just as nice as when I used the pins and clips, and eliminated the extra effort (and finger pokes from the pins).

I fold over as I go. No pins. I don't use bias binding, so maybe that's why it is easy.

I hope you mean joining the binding together so you do not notice the seam. I found a You Tube tutorial that helped me sooooo much. It's much easier now for me. I pin every time at the beginning and after I turn the corner. Then no pinning. Here it is:

Use binding clips (or hair clips), no more pin pricks. I have the book "JoAnns Guide to Quilting" which has great instructions and diagrams for the joining of the ends but I'd get confused each time I did it so I made a sample to keep as a guide.

I have a tutorial on my blog. Its another way to join the ends and it works for me. See what you think! I usually use applique pins. They are small so they dont' get caught in the thread. My friend just presses her binding after applying. She says that it just lays down with out pinning. Itsn't it great there are so many methods? We can all find the one that works best for US!

I never pin or clip. After I sew the binding down I iron it flat towards the outside of the quilt. Then I just turn the quilt over and start sewing it down. Before I started ironing sometimes it was hard make sure that I had the binding pulled all the way to the back.

I checked your tut & it looks great! You're right about different methods that we each can find & use. Love this board!

You can use glue like Elmer's that washes out. Do a search on it.
