Very nice, We just had a speaker at our last guild meeting that is an expert on Japanese quilts.
And yes it needs red, that is fire, The Japanese use earth, water, metal, wood, and fire elements in their quilt, you have the rest but I think the red and then the navy would look great!

Beautiful quilt. I do like the idea of a white phylange or thin stripe before the border.
Is there a pattern for this quilt?
