Like you, we live 90 miles from the nearest JoAnns and I made it there as well. But next year I'm getting a room up there so I can get some sleep!

I too was waiting in line with my flannel, not as much as you for sure. I must say, I saw some that I had used in a quilt about a year ago. The tan flannel thats mottled. I bought some. When I brought it home I noticed (what I usualy notice in the store) Well...the quailty is lesser than a year ago. I think it will be ok though....however. I would not wash this flannel before..nope nope. Its just not stable. I think you will be borrowing trouble. Add to that the fact that flannel shrinks more than regular cotton fabric I think you will be asking for trouble.

What a shopping spree - did you leave any on the shelves? LOL That should keep you out of trouble in 2012!

THanks for the tip, just bought some of the flannel yesterday so that tip will come in handy today.

Looks like you got some nice flannel there. Have fun making your rag quilts...........you've got enough fabric to make many, many, many of them. You really scored on that deal!!

WOW - congratulations on your stamina to face the crowds after driving 90 miles, and you did save a great deal of money. Looking forward to seeing all those quilts when you make them.
