I didn't even receive my flyer until after 12 noon on Saturday, and Joann's is 45 minutes away in GOOD traffic! Oh well, I'll still go on Monday, I hope!

They didn't need to be cut so I grabbed all I could (took my sewing cart with me because I knew there wouldn't be any shopping carts) and headed to the check out. I was in and out of there in a little over an hour! That stash of flannel will go with me to the hospital on Tuesday and should last us until I go again next year. I'm a happy camper!
Lucky you...Our Joann's won't allow you to buy a whole bolt, unless being sold as a bolt and is packaged as such, without it still being opened and measured...They say they still have to scan and give you the receipt for register plus they must make sure that it's 8 yrds not more not less. Such a pain because I use to always buy bolts of heat and bond, wonder under UGH...

I was safely visiting a small town in southern Illinois...no big shopping, just went to Rural King. If I had been home, it would have been a different story!!

I wish we had a Joann Fabric store in my town. That would have been the only store i would have hit on Black Friday.

Default joanns

I went also. Spent 36.00 and saved 84.00. My Joanns has the ticket number thing also, but when people have 30 bolts of fabric it still takes a long time. Enjoyed talking to the others in line and helping one lady pick flannel color that went together

I wish there was a Joann's close by.

Well of COURSE the things are priced highly to start with so they can afford these sales. That's why it is silly to shop at Joann's without a coupon. But the thing is, it isn't like they raised their prices just before thanksgiving to mark them down. They are ridiculously priced all year long. So if you're going to use it, Black Friday is the day to get Flannel... Otherwise you need to go with a coupon (for a still higher price) and just buy one cut per coupon.

That said, I know in Texas Kohl's lost a suit over their pricing- they can't call something a "sale" price if that is the price the thing is the majority of the time. Then, it becomes the regular price. At least Joann's does sell items for the "Regular" price most of the time.

That's how ours is too. So when the charity ladies are each buying 100 bolts, they have to unwrap them all to measure.
And we don't have "pick a number" or a second cutting counter, just room for 2, maybe 3 if they squeeze, ladies to cut. The store only has 2 cash registers...

Our Joanns would not let us use any coupons because everything was on sale.
