I think that worked just as it should have. I like the way you bargain. My guess is she thought she got a bargain as well.

I cannot believe she thought $20 was too much. I think that giving her the $20 and getting the quilt was a good idea as I doubt that she would have been pleased with what you did. I am not critizing your abilities but she sounds as if nothing would please her. If you decide you don't like the quilt I'll send you the money and finish the quilt for myself.

I would have done the same. $40 is cheap to do any hand quilting, I am glad that you were able to save it.

I am glad that she didn't know what she had because you got a great quilt. Now, if I could only find one like that at a garage sale.
