I used to love to read all the new happenings while having my coffee in the morning....sometimes I'd come back in the afternoon and read the rest. Now, I just look at the links. Everything else is too cumbersome to me. Still don't know how to post new but that doesn't matter because it's too much to remember all the new things. I'm sure the new site is wonderful for those who take the time to learn it. I just enjoyed the simple style of the previous site.

I do not like it. I am very computer oriented (not a techie)and have never had such a hard time with a site. I am hardlly on here anymore and only check in with a certain PDA of sorts and do an occasional SEARCh for a subject. Otherwise, I am not on here. I used to spend my time eating breakfast and checking in on folks and new subjects. I would occasionally post something and get a laugh or two. I would check in in the evenings and go to bed. If I couldn't sleep, I was on here. At one time, I was in the top 25 posters. Not anymore.
My college website from last semester was pretty good but needed improvement. Without telling staff, the first day of fall semester they went to a new format. WoW! Shock, but by the enf of the first couple of days, most everyone was really glad for the changes and was finding their way around quite easily.
Wish I could say the same for this new format. No longer draws me to want to look and see what is going on. Not the same appeal for me. Maybe in few months...

STOP!!!!! So many people are expressing sentiments like this. It makes me feel like I am in a cult or something. (I'm afraid I am feeling the same way about lots of the messages which go along these lines "I don't like the new site but I want to thank everyone for making it better.")

It is OK to have your own view. I miss the old site too. And it really bothers me the way we have dealt with it as a community. So many people feel they have to make excuses for what is perfectly natural- we miss the good stuff that we used to enjoy so much. And there has been no acknowledgement from the powers that run this place that they took that away from us with next to no prior warning, and pretty much no sympathy.

Well I know I am definitely in the monority, but I have never once felt the need to have a personal blog, I just log on to see what others have posted about quilting, save some pics and tips and laugh over Ditters humorous posts. What does one do with a personal blog? It may be my age showing and I do plead ignorance on the subject, oh and I have not tweeted or face booked either. I realize I am in the stone age as far as computer knowledge is concerned, but would like to know what the big "wow" factor is all about regarding blogs etc. TIA for taking the time to enlighten me. I can see if you are doing a tutorial that being able to add 10 pics would be nice.

I'm getting better acquainted with the site but I think I'm in your court on this: I miss the friendly back and forth of easy conversation about quilting on an easy to use site I could go on and see in almost a glance what appeals to me.
