Welcome to the board Nancy. I just love your shows and have many taped on my DVR that I re-watch often. Not just the quilting and embroidery shows either. All of your shows. Thanks for being such a blessing on-air and for sharing your knowledge. Thank you for sharing with us.

Column quilt
I have all the material, all the batting, bought the pattern, (now wished that I had bought the DVD),,have the fabric half ironed and just need the time to make this. I have watched Nancy make this quilt on the computer at least 20 times. I am making this quilt in those bright batiks...yellow, peach, blue, purple...nothing dull about this gal and queen sized quilt, too.
I am hoping that I can hand quilt through this when it is finished. Will it be too thick???

Thanks for your interest in the Column Quilt design that I presented on TV. BTW, the most 52 current Sewing With Nancy shows are available online 24/7 at www.nancyzieman.com. If you missed a show or your PBS stations doesn't carry it, you can watch online.
I also did a variation of that quilt called "Quilt to Give," you can find the instructions on my blog—www.nancyzieman.com/blog. It's way to use of scraps of fabric and then give the quilt to someone in need.

The column quilt is great! I went ahead and got the book and dvd because I always need the extra support and also I am building a collection for my great niece, 8. The quilt is wonderful. I made one and a friend came over and raved about it so much that she left with it. It is definitely on my list to make another one!
